It seems a silly or maybe obvious question, but really, what are some everyday little ways we can show the guys around us that we respect them? And without them thinking we fancy them for paying them the attention?

| Well it's easy! I believe the first step in respecting a guy is respecting yourself. If you dress modestly and use decent (not necessarily perfect) grammar then you are off to a good start. I mean slang is fine, just as long as it's not excessive. Now as far as demonstrating respect towards guys, a good thing to do is to allow the male to be the gentleman. Many females who have a background of verbal abuse and/or disrespect often do not know how to accept being treated with respect. When a guy tries to be a gentleman he feels good knowing he is assisting the female in whatever she is or was going to engage herself in. It is respectful to allow guys to open doors or pull out chairs for you. It alllows them to take on the role of being a man and gentleman, and that is building them up. It is very respectful to do this. Apart from that, simple things like not showing off as much of your body as you can (i.e. wearing 5" skirts and something on the torso that covers no more or less than what a bra would). Also not using derogatory or obscene language, of course. Anything else stated would be kindergarten knowledge. Be advised, doing these things and respecting guys is greatly admired and attractive. So if you respect guys, there's no saying they won't develop feelings for you or find you very attractive... So they may tend to think you "fancy" them but it's normal and good. I mean who doesn't want a good, Christian female with ethics and submission? |
